Responsible Business

Taking responsibility for the environment and local community has been an important part of the broader commitment of the Rezidor Hotel Group to sustainable development for many years. In 2001, this commitment was fortified and placed within the scope of a programme called Responsible Business (RB). Each hotel has a unique RB Action Plan covering areas such as community outreach, environmental improvement, employee well-being and health and safety.

The hotels are engaged with both local charity groups and the Rezidor Hotel Group corporate international charity organisation, the World Childhood Foundation. The mission of Childhood is to defend the rights of the child and to promote better living conditions for vulnerable and exploited children at risk all over the world.

Beyond the Moon
The Radisson Blu Park Lane Hotel, Antwerp holds fundraising auctions to nominate and offer a scik child and his/her family from Antwerp some quality time together during a wonderful Beyond the Moon vacation experience. Beyond the Moon is an organisation that helps children between the ages of three and 18 who are suffering with life-threatening disease. The organization provides the families of these children with a paid vacation to holiday destinations appealing to the children. In addition to sponsoring some of the vacations, the Radisson Blu Park Lane Hotel provides "Change for Children" envelopes in all of the rooms and suites at the hotel.

Elegast
The Radisson Blu Park Lane Hotel in Antwerp helps the children's home Elegast Conscience. Elegast is a home for children unable to live at home because their parents cannot take care of them due to alcohol problems, parents in prison, etc. To brighten the lives of these children, this hotel helps through projects like collecting and delivering clothes to the children and providing birthday cakes for the children, as well as raising funds for the organisation.
